Talk: An Introduction to Italy and Italians
This entertaining while thought-provoking talk is designed for anyone visiting Italy, and gives an overview of the main invisible cultural landmines to be avoided in order to get the best out of their experience in Italy. It also explores stereotypes on Italy and Italians, debunking some and analyzing the truth behind others.
The talk lasts approximately one hour.
Business Workshop
This workshop is designed to guide newcomers through the minefield of misinterpretation and prejudice to effectively do business in Italy. Success in doing business abroad depends on understanding the culture of the country with which you are dealing. The wrong word, the wrong gesture can break a deal. The right word, the right gesture, can make it. Business people understand that they need cultural training before they deal with countries in East Asia, for example. But what they often do not recognize is that in Europe they can be just as vulnerable to misunderstanding. Italy, with a culture that stretches back to antiquity, is a prime example. In this workshop Anna also investigates stereotypes, customs and traditions, as well as their significance and their historical and cultural reasons.

Anna conducts a very successful one-day workshop in which she analyses the main metaphors in The Adventures of Pinocchio, highlights and analyses points of reflection, and leads to the development of awareness and self-reflection around the investigated themes.
